Cookie Policy
Effective date: June 6, 2026 · Last updated: June 6, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Smritix AI LLP ("we") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use the Vaultix-ID dashboard at vaultix.smritix-ai.com.
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over a period of time so you do not have to re-enter them each time you return. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining until they expire or you delete them).
2. How We Use Cookies
Vaultix-ID uses a minimal set of cookies — only what is necessary to operate the service securely. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies.
3. Essential Cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the dashboard to function. They cannot be disabled.
| Cookie / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration | Opt-out? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| vaultix-session | Session | Stores the encrypted session token for authenticated dashboard operators. Required for sign-in to function. | 30 days | No — required for service |
| __Host-next-auth.csrf-token | Security | CSRF protection token used by NextAuth. Prevents cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session | No — required for service |
| next-auth.session-token | Session | NextAuth session cookie used for dashboard operator authentication via Google OAuth. | 30 days | No — required for service |
4. Functional Cookies
These cookies enhance your experience but are not strictly required.
| Cookie / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration | Opt-out? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| __vaultix_redirect | Functional | Temporarily stores the intended post-login redirect URL to return you to the right page after authentication. | 5 minutes | No — functional |
5. Analytics & Advertising Cookies
| Cookie / Key | Type | Purpose | Duration | Opt-out? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| No analytics cookies | — | We currently do not use analytics cookies. Aggregated telemetry is captured server-side without client-side cookies. | — | N/A |
6. Cookies Set by Your Integrated Applications
When end-users of applications built on Vaultix-ID authenticate, Vaultix-ID sets a vaultix-session cookie on the Vaultix-ID domain. The cookie attributes are fixed for security:
HttpOnly: true— not accessible via JavaScriptSecure: true— only sent over HTTPSSameSite: None— required for cross-domain embeddingPath: /
This cookie is set by your application's Vaultix-ID integration. As an application operator, you are responsible for disclosing this cookie to your end-users in your own cookie policy.
7. Managing Cookies
Since we only use essential cookies, disabling them via your browser settings will prevent the Vaultix-ID dashboard from functioning correctly — you will not be able to sign in.
You can manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Preferences → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions
8. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change our cookie usage. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect any changes.
